Karla Tiffany is a Black poet and fiction writer from Oakland, CA. She holds a BA in Writing and Literature from California College of the Arts and is a Southern Esesu Endeavor fellow. They are the recipient of the San Francisco Foundation/Nomadic Press Literary Award for Poetry (2021) and have received a Pushcart Prize nomination for fiction. Their work has appeared or is forthcoming in the San Francisco Public Library’s Poem-of-the-Day series, Second Stutter, Gulf Coast Journal, Augur Magazine, 1619 Speaks: An Anthology of African American Poetry (Sims Library of Poetry), When We Exhale (Black Freighter Press), midnight & indigo, The Town: An Anthology of Oakland Poets (Nomadic Press), SAND Literature and Art, The Ana, Fourteen Hills, and Obsidian: Literature and Arts.
